Health Metrics, Inc. Certified Fitness Coordinator (CFC) Program, trains individuals with little or no fitness-related background to:
- Implement and manage organization-wide fitness programs, tailored to meet job requirements
- Administer health risk appraisals
- Conduct fitness assessments
- Design and monitor individualized fitness programs
- Implement weight management and other health promotion/wellness strategies
- Reduce injury rates
The CFC and HealthFit programs follows the tenets and guidelines of the American College of Sports Medicine, the American Heart Association and are responsive to the requirements of the IAFF/IAFC Wellness Initiative and NFPA 1500 and 1583. The workshops are targeted toward public safety personnel, specifically, firefighters and law enforcement. Workshop classes consist of lecture, practical exercise and fitness evaluation sessions. The workshop has approximately 35 contact hours across a 5-day week.
Certified individuals receive and keep a copy of HMI’s proprietary CFC Manual, a 400-page reference and guide that will assist them in delivering all of their health and fitness related duties. CFC's are also exposed to FitScan®, HMI’s world-class fitness assessment and programming software.
